this is old but sad news

i'm sitting here listening to music i have created with my extremely close friends adam, ben, and devon (as well as some old tracks with not those guys) and i am sad to say that we have obviously parted ways musically. it's been some time, so i assume everyone already knew what was inevitable. but nonetheless, i still play music with adam in our project GUARDIANS and ben is playing in Y LA BAMBA (which is going extremely well for him) and devon is doing the DIESTO thing. so, everyone is happy and everyone is playing music, but i just wanted to let everyone know, officially, that ARISTEIA is no longer. Thanks for the support, it was an amazing journey

adam and i went to our practice space yesterday to jam out on this thing but the power on the whole block was out.
for over two hours we waited in the dark with Hamms (notice Hamms is the only thing i have capitalized thus far? i have priorities) for the power to switch back on but i guess PGE are a bunch of fuck nuts. let's all not pay our power bills in protest!

The show went pretty well. We played the Tonic Lounge and there were many friends. Thanks Westfold, I really liked the new song sweat body!

We were going to record next week (at toadhouse recording house of digital and analog waves recoder) but devon (our drummer) got hit by a car (motorized vehicle).









Never fear however!, We rescheduled to lay down some pipe (tape) in October.

why are bands spending more time on how beautiful their blogs are than writing kick ass songs. what the fuck happened to working hard to write great songs? instead we have to put up with fucking boring shit that people spend 5 minutes on and another 5 minutes posting it on their blog immediately after it's written. what the fuck happened to great rock and roll? i can seriously only think of a handful of awesome bands putting music out right now. it sucks. music can't keep up with the internet and it shouldn't.
